I have read this book before.

The answer is C. He has a cruel streak that surfaces occasionally. He wanted to be mean to Doodle and later in the story explains why he did it.

Hope I helped!

Answer:

C. He has a cruel streak that surfaces occasionally.

Step-by-step explanation:

Doodle was a boy who was born sick and was abnormal at his birth. He learned things very slowly. The family members assumed that he would die soon. The father of the boy bought a coffin for him in case if he dies. Doodle's brother wanted to have a brother who would play with him. But Doodle was unable to do any of the activities. Brother became very sad and irritated from this. One day he took Doodle along with him and show him the coffin so that he would die soon.
