The difference in the bases is 15-9=6. Since the base angles are 45°, the height of the trapezoid is equal to half of that difference, so the height is 3 units. The area of a trapezoid is:
A=h(b1+b2)/2 so in this case:
A=3(9+15)/2
A=36 u^2
