How can rns support the patient's decision when the beliefs of the patient are contrary their own?

In order for the rns or nurse to support the patient's decision even though the belief of the patient are contrary to their own, she or he will need to reevaluate first and contemplate what the patient believes in order for him or her to gain a full understanding and respect the patient's decision.
