Biodiversity means the diversity of living organisms found in a particular ecosystem. The more the variety in the living things in a particular ecosystem the more number of food chains are.Actually in nature always one species is dependent on another for survival. If any species become extinct it will affect many other species directly or indirectly. Therefore in order to have a healthy ecosystem biodiversity is a must.
