An grocery store sign indicates hat plums are 6 for 1.50, and a sign by the apples indicates that they are 5 for 3.00. Find the total cost of buying 2 plums and 2 apples and how to solve in ratios?

$0.25 for 1 plum so it would be $0.50 for two.

$0.60 for 1 apple so it would be $1.20 for two.

Add the two prices together, $0.50 + $1.20 = $1.70

You must first divide the cost by the number of items you're buying.

Then you add the two prices together and bam! You've got yourself the answer.
