Since there are 18 miles per gallon, and we have a total of 450 miles at most, we need to divide the total miles by miles per gallon. This determines the amount of gallons of gas that Jeff will need.
450/18 = 25
Jeff will need 25 gallons of gasoline.
I hope this helps!
