A rectangular painting is 24 inches wide and 20 inches tall without the frame. With the frame, it is 28 inches wide and 24 inches tall. What is the area of the frame not covered by the painting? Give explanations please!!! I won't understand.

The answer is 192 because you have to take the area of the painting with the frame which is 28x24=672 and subtract that by the painting without the frame which is 24x20=480. After you do that you should get 192 which is the area of the frame not covered by the painting.
