Since a tile is usually going to be a square or rectangle, the formula is Length x Width.
I find putting fractions into decimals much easier to handle for multiplying.
1.5 x 2.6 is your Length x Width.
1.5 x 2.6 = 3.9
3.9 ft is the area of one tile.
