A noun is a word that identifies a person, place, thing, idea, or animal.
Some nouns that I see in the first two paragraphs are: Soledad (place), Salinas River (place), Gabilan mountains (place), rabbits (animals), dogs (animals), boys (person), ranches (place), and men (person).
