The adrenal cortex' is the part of the brain responsible for secreting adrenaline, non-adrenaline, cortisol, and aldosterone. These are hormones that are vital to life, like the cortisol that regulates metabolism and helps the body to respond to stress, and the aldosterone that regulates or controls blood pressure.
