While there are many problems with any system a prominent one would be the fact that the popular vote doesn't decide. Some wouldn't call this a problem as they might say the general population doesn't have enough political experience to decide. Most of the time, however, popular vote is the same as electoral.

There are many problems with our current electoral system, however, the biggest problem is that it allows the popular vote to lose. This has happened numerous times in the presidential election.
