The town of Lloró, Colombia has an average yearly rainfall of 500 inches. On average, how many centimeters of rain does the town get each day?

So first we have to convert inches to centimeters. There are 2.54 centimeters in an inch. So you would multiply 500x2.54 which will equal 1270 centimeters. Now we know that the town receives 1270 centimeters of rainfall per year. To know how many the town gets in one day divide 1270 by 365 for the number of days in a year . The answer is approximately 3.479 (estimate according to the directions) centimeters per day.
