What are the similarities and differences between a cylinder and a prism

Differences
Prisms have more than 2 shapes on them

  prisms have no round sides or vertices, but a cylinder obviously has a circle base. Also for a prism, the cross-section is a polygon, while for a cylinder it is a circle.
