Although I only lived in Jamestown for two years, I did more than any other colonist to ensure the success of the new settlement. My greatest achievement was negotiating for a supply of corn with the local Native Americans. This crop ensured not only the survival of my people, but also forged a relationship of peace. I had to leave the colony earlier than I would have liked when an injury forced me to return to England.
