A=LW so

W=A/L

W=(3/5)/(7/8)

W=(3/5)*(8/7)

W=24/35 mi

remember that Area=Length ×Width
3/5 = (7/8) × x
x = (3/5)/(7/8)
x = (3/5)×(8/7)
x =24/25 square mile
