Isosceles trapezoid ABCD is constructed with line ZX drawn through its center. If the isosceles trapezoid is dilated using a scale factor of one over three and a line is drawn through the center of the new dilated figure, what relationship will the new line have with line ZX? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.

wouldn't the new figure and the old figure be proportional because of the fact that its telling you the trapezoid was dilated?

The answer is the dilated line would be the exact same line as the original. This is because when you dilate you dilate around the center of the object unless it tells you otherwise.

I know you posted this 4 days ago so you prob don't need the answer anymore just thought I would help
