A regular pentagonal prism has 9- centimeter base edges. A larger similar prism of the same material has 36-centimeter base edges. How does the volume of the larger prism compare to the smaller prism? Can someone help ?

From the given dimensions of the pentagonal prism, the scale factor for both figures is 9:36 which is also equal to 1:4. For the ratio of their volume, we just have to cube the ratio of the measurement of the sides which will give us an answer of 1:64. Therefore, the volume of the larger prism is 64 times as that of the smaller prism.
