The records of the general assembly in each state is the Secretary of the State. For the federal government the Secretary of the State is also the U.S Head of State. In the federal government in the U.S, it is equal to a "Minister of Foreign Affairs" in other countries. The current Secretary of State for Kansas in 2017 is Kris Kobach. The Secretary of State for the United States government in 2017 is Rex Tillerson.
