There are thousands of rivers in South America, but the major ones are the Amazon, Rio Sao Francisco, Madeira, Magdalena, Orinoco, Ucayali, and many many more. Many of the rivers that are considered to be major, big rivers, are still just parts of the Amazon which shows how big Amazon actually is and how important it is.
