It's a procedure when we are taking out fluid that has been collected in the belly. It's taken out by using a long, thin needles that is put through the belly.
However, before we do it, we have to tell the doctor if we are allergic to something, if we are taking medication, if you are pregnant etc. We may need some blood tests, and you absolutely must empty your bladder before the procedure. You also may need to sign a consent form, about the risks.
