The height of a triangle is 4 m less than its base. the area of the triangle is 48m^2 what is thr length of the base

base = x
height = x-4
Area = .5 * height * base
48 = .5 * (x-4) * x
96 = x^2 -4x
x^2 -4x -96=0
x = 12
base = 12
height = 8
