The french and the native americans had a great relationship with each other. The main reason for them getting along was that the french did not try to change the native americans; they helped them out and got help in return and that was it, they never asked the native's to change their ways or beliefs. The native's sold to the french and vice versa. The french also helped to protect the native's from greater sources sometimes.
