In the smaller triangle:

cos v° = adjacent/hypotenuse
= 4.5/10
v°= cos^-1(4.5/10)
= 63.25°

sin v° = opposite/hypotenuse
sin 63.25° = x/10
x = 10(sin 63.25°)
=8.93
