Since you need 4 cups of fruit to make one pie the first thing you do is multiply 0.75 by 4. You would then get a total of $3.00 to that you would have to add the cost of the pie crust. $3.00 + $2.50= $5.50 that is the cost to make one pie. In order to find the profit you need to subtract $5.50 from $10.25 and you would get the profit of one pie to be $4.75. Since the they are asking the profit for 10 pies what you would have to multiply the profit of one pie by 10 to get an answer of $47.5
