Ken went to the store for his mother. He spent $2.37 on groceries. In addition, his mother said he could spend $0.35 on candy. What was his change from a five dollar bill?

If you add $2.37 and $0.35 you will get $2.72. If you subtract that from $5.00, you will get $2.28. There is your answer!
