Explain how a four-term polynomial is factored by grouping and when a quadratic trinomial can be factored using this method. Include examples in your explanation. Note that you need to know what a four-term polynomial is and what a quadratic trinomial is in order to do this problem. There are two parts to the problem, so be sure to address both parts and provide an example for each part.

A four-term polynomial is factored by grouping when after grouping and doing a common monomial factoring, there is a common binomial in the two groups. A quadratic trinomial can be factored by grouping the terms and applying the addition property of equality.
