This could be any range of numbers. I believe what you are doing is factoring the number.

56 / 2 = 28
56 / 4 = 14
56 / 8 = 9

If you are doing prime factorization, the numbers that you can factor it by are 2, 4, 8, 9, 14, and 28.

Hope this helps!
