24a2b can be rewritten as 48ab and 8ab2 can be rewritten as 16ab to make it simpler later on. Now we have the Area(48ab) and Length(16ab).
Width=(48ab)/(16ab).
Both 48 and 16 can be divided by 16 thus simplifying to (3ab)/(ab) The ab's cancel each other out or equal one when divided.
We are then left with the answer

for the width of the garden.
