Civil War impacted American society and culture deeply. First, the Civil War impacted the culture of slavery especially on the Southern States when slavery was abolished, the southern society had to accept the fact and accept African Americans as part of their society, which eventually led to the Black Codes as a way to ignore them.

Also, the Civil War impacted by the major killing of the soldier from the Confederacy and the Union, 2% of the American Population was killed in 1861. But also the Civil War forged a stronger nation that would not be divided over problems such as slavery and others.
