Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle were one of the most important philosophers of ancient Greece whose ideas influenced modern philosophy. But Pericles(495-29 BCE) was not a philosopher. He was a politician and stateman, leader of Athens that decided oi rule under democracy for the betterment of the Athenians. He also was interested in architecture and supported the construction of the magnificent Parthenon.
