8 is half of 16
4 is half of 8
2 is half of 4
1 is half of 2
1 is half of 0 (1 + 0 = 1)

It is subtracting the current number by 1/2 OR you can divide by 2. each time.

32 / 2= 16
16 / 2=8
8/2=4
4/2=2
2/2=1
