1. Is the sequence 5, 9, 15, ... an arithmetic sequence? Explain

NO.  All arithmetic sequences have a common difference.  Each term is a constant difference from the previous term.  Since 9-5 is not equal to 15-9, this is not an arithmetic sequence.

No, there is not a constant number between each term in the sequence.
