The label on a large box of cereal says that it contains 3 lb, 6 oz of cereal.
What is another way to express this weight?
A. 30 oz
B. 36 oz
C. 48 oz
D. 54 oz

You need to convert 3 lb, 6 oz into all ounces. To do this, know that 16 ounces is 1 pound.
(3pounds)(16 oz/1 pound)
This cancels out the pounds, and leaves you with 48ounces, then add the 6 ounces you already knew of. You now have 54 ounces, which is "D"
