Describe the relationship between ATP and ADP and the important of this relationship within a cell

ADP is basically the dead battery form of ATP.  It is lacking a phosphate group, and has a hydrogen instead.  It can be 'recharged' to form ATP through specific occurrences in the cell such as the electron transport chain.  ATP is the molecule that powers everything the cell does.
