Was Shakespeare wise to change Macbeth in the way that he did? Why or why not?

I think Shakespeare was wise to change Macbeth in the way that he did because it made Macbeth appear more human. By making Macbeth undergo his downfall due to his own greediness, it made him seem more human rather than like a static character.

I hope this helps.
