Bronson is using a coordinate plain to design a rectangular swimming pool. he will plot points on the coordinate plain to mark the vertices of the rectangular pool bottom. if bronson plots the first three points at (5,3) (5,13) and (30,13), what would be the coordinates of the fourth pointa:(30,5)b:(20,13)c:(5,28)d:(30,3)

well, the answer would be D, (30,3) because if you use a graph and plot the points given then the last point to complete the rectangle would be 30,3

Answer:

Option d - (30,3)

Explanation:

Given : Bronson is using a coordinate plain to design a rectangular swimming pool. He will plot points on the coordinate plain to mark the vertices of the rectangular pool bottom. If Bronson plots the first three points at (5,3) (5,13) and (30,13).

To find : What would be the coordinates of the fourth point?

Solution :

Bronson plots the first three points at (5,3) (5,13) and (30,13).

When we plot these point,

Let, first point (5,3) joints vertically to point (5,13)

Then, (5,13) joints to (30,13)

So, the fourth coordinate drawn from point (30,13) i.e, x coordinate is 30.

Opposite side of the rectangles are equal i.e, parallel to point (5,3)

so, y-coordinate is 3

The fourth point is (30,3) to make a rectangle.

Refer the attached figure below.

Therefore, Option d is correct.
