Answer: B. Infiltration

Infiltration is a process in which water being on the subsurface of soil gets absorbed by the soil. This water makes way inside the ground by seeping inside the cracks and pores present in the rocks. The accumulated water becomes a reservoir of water known as ground water. Glaciers melt, water is returned to groundwater storage by means of infiltration.
