If 4(3x - 8)=25, what is 3x - 10

4(3x) = 17
3x = 17 / 4
3x = 4.25
x = 4.25 / 3
x = 1.41666667

3x - 10
= 3 x 1.41666667 - 10
= -5.74999999

Distribute the 4:
12x - 32 = 25
12x = 57
x = 57 / 12

3(57/12) - 10 = 4.25
