50 ÷ -5 = -10

a positive number divided by a negative number equals a negative number so 50 ÷ -5 = -10

a number divided by two negatives equals a positive number so if the question was -50 ÷ -5 the answer would be positive 10 so -50 ÷ -5 = 10

so 50 ÷ -5 = -10
