It signified the end of Communism in Germany, and many other countries in Eastern Europe, this signified the end, or the opening of the Iron Curtain, and that people could now go freely between what was once Communist and Democratic parts of the Country

The Berlin Wall was implicit 1961 amid the Cold War and isolated East and West Berlin. The Cold War was the name given to the connection between the USSR and USA after the finish of World War 2.
