is the initial equation
then to solve you subtract 4.50 from 11 and get 6.50 next you divide .50 from to to cancel it out and you find that she can buy 13 tickets. But she would have no money left over

Then, she has to pay an entry fee of $4.50

$11.00 - $4.50 = $6.50

If the rides are $0.50 each, divide $6.50 by $0.50

$6.50/$0.50=13
