take the ln of both sides
remember
ln(a^x)=xln(a)
so
ln(2^x)=ln(22.5)
xln(2)=ln(22.5)
divide both sides by ln2
x=ln(22.5)/ln(2)
if you want to evaluate
use calculator
x=4.49185
