My assignment is to write a paragraph that explains, in your own words, how to change subtraction into adding the opposite. Use examples in your explanation. I just need help with how to change subtraction into adding the opposite.

To change subtraction you have to take the number that is getting subtracted by and adding it to the answer you got from subtracting.
Example: 10-7=3 so 7+3=10.
So, you are basically turning the subtraction equation backwards and adding a "+" sign to turn subtraction into addition.
