What has Johnny learned from the gang that he couldn't learn from his parents ? What's the irony in this? What can you learn from your friends that you haven't learn from your family? (This is from the outsiders)

The outsiders was such a great book, I really enjoyed reading it.

I believe Johnny learned what it was like to receive love and affection from the gang. His parents never really gave him much attention and when they did it was abuse. So the gang was like Johnny's family. The irony is that your parents are supposed to love and care for you, and a gang usually does not.

Hope this helped. Have a great day!
