Considering the environmental factor of vegetation, why do you think civilization on the African continent began in Egypt, rather than farther west, in central North Africa?

Answer:

Civilization always is located at a big riv er delta. On the African continent it began in Egypt where the Nile formed a big delta. All around it in Africa was the rainless & huge Sahara desert, the most unlikely place for human habitation, let alone a civilization.
