Friction helps us so when we drive the tires and the ground create friction and we stay in control and don't slide all over the place *hope this helps u!!*

first just to point out if we didn't have friction we would slide on the floor no matter what for the rest of our lives. Ex: if you threw a ball on the floor, it will never stop rolling/bouncing ever again. Friction helps up move from place to place by the fact that there is friction on the ground, the ground helps us walk, drive, bike or anything else move around because when we take a step, friction on the ground helps us with frictional force. This force is like a pressure plate once you get on the floor, you will never slide.
