Phenotypes and genotypes are characteristics in DNA which represents two different aspects of the sequence. Genotype presents the genetic makeup while phenotype presents the appearance. Now, phenotypic frequencies can be altered in distribution of the underlying DNA sequences which reveals dominant traits or not.
