Probability=number of specific outcomes / number of possible outcomes...
a,e,i,o,u are the only vowels in the alphabet which has 26 letters of which 5 are vowels... so

There are 5 vowels in the alphabet: A, E, I, O, and U.
The alphabet consists of 26 letters.
So, B , 5/26 are vowels. and would be your chance of picking one.
