Suppose a giant meteor smashes into the Earth and wipes out the majority of life. Describe how succession would help an ecosystem recover over time.

now please answer the question i dont care about the meteorite it is just a example no going in depth about how big it would have to be i just want to know how succession would help an ecosystem recover over time.

People work together, on the side of the planet that wasn't damaged, you could grow a lot more plants and stop cutting trees. This could repair the damage over a few hundred years, maybe more.
