well family is blood and if something happends with that it can really crush a person like if some one where to come out as a lgbt person and they had a Christian family and they kicked them out then that would hurt them and if your dating a person it depends on how serious the realiship really is I feel family would hurt more because they are your family your own blood but a dating realiship would hurt but not as bad it honestly depends on both of the partners maturity and what happend hope this helped!
